 CURRENCY
- It is prohibited to take Myanmar (Burmese)
currency in and out of Myanmar. US Dollars in cash or traveler's cheques, as well as other
major European currencies, may be exchanged at your hotel. American Express Cards are also
accepted. Myanmar currency left over at time of departure from Yangon (Rangoon) can be
changed back at Yangon airport.
- Exchange control in Myanmar is very strict,
so do not change your money on the black market. (i.e. other than at the airport of hotel)

- OTHER USEFUL TIPS
- Bring along rubber slippers or sandals. Take
along plenty of film, it is not possible to get any in Myanmar. Bring along a sweater and
a raincoat if you are on 6 or 8 day tour packages.

- CUSTOMS
200 cigarettes, 50 cigars, or half a pound
of tobacco.
One quart bottle of alcoholic spirit, one
pint bottle of perfume or eau de cologne.
Tape recorder, calculator are allowed only
on condition that they are declared on arrival, in order to be taken out at departure.
Video cameras are not allowed to bring into
Myanmar.
Export of antiques and archaeologically
valuable items over 75 years old are prohibited.
VISA PROCEDURE
After confirmation of the tour, please give
the following information to Marwin Tours at least 3 weeks before customer departure :
- (A) Full name as per passport, address, sex
& present nationality.
- (B) Passport number, date and place of
issue.
- (C) Present occupation - full name and
address of company.
- (D) City/Country of Embassy of Myanmar
(Burma) where visa is to be obtained (stamped).
- (E) It takes 3 working days to stamp visa on
the passport if visa will be issued at embassy of Myanmar in Bangkok. (original passport,
3 photos & visa stamp fees 25 US$ P/P are required)

- RESERVATION CONDITIONS

- 1. Deposit 80.00 US$ per person is required
at least 30 days before departure from Bangkok and will be refunded should the tour be
canceled within 20 to 7 days prior to arrival Myanmar.
- 2. Less than 7 days prior to arrival Myanmar
30 % of tour cost as cancellation fees will be charged by Myanmar Travel & Tours.
- 3. After departure of the tour, if you for
any reason decide to terminate the tour before conclusion of the tour according to the
programs, no refund at all can be expected from Myanmar Travels & Tours (Tourist
Burma) or Marwin Tours.
