INTHANON AND RUBBER RAFT
2 DAYS / 1 NIGHT
This
programme gives an opportunity to you to see not only
the rich culture of northern Thailand, the beauty of nature
on the " Rose of Thailand ", Doi Inthanon, the
highest mountain in Thailand (8,415 feets above the normal
sea level) but also to experience an exciting of grade
2-4 whitewater raft on Mae Cham River.
Day 1 Inthanon - Mae Cham
Early
in the morning, picked up from your hotel in Chiang Mai
and driving to " Doi Inthanon National Park ".
On the way, visit Wat Pra Thad Sri-Jhom Thong, a rare
old time atmosphere monastery. Then continue on to "
Thailand's highest point ". Enroute, visit Mae Ya
Waterfall, one of the most beautiful waterfall in Chiang
Mai.
Lunch will be provided at Mae Klang Waterfall. After lunch
at your pleasure, visit Vachiratharn Waterfall, Royal
Agricultural Project, the twin Je Dee and the prehistoric
jungle which shares some similarities to the great Himalayas.
Dinner and accommodation at the resort of Mae Cham.
Day
2 River Raft on Mae Cham River - Ob-Luang
After breakfast, enjoy the morning sightseeing
in the local city of Mae Cham before driving
to
the raft starting point. After lunch listen to the "
How to raft & safety " instruction practice your
paddling in Mae Cham River. The first half an hour the
river runs fast but there is not many rapids. It is good
to practice. Then get through the level 4 rapids about
300 meter long. After that, enjoy the level 2-3 rapids
along the first cession. Until arrive to Ob-Luang National
Park. There we have to pack our boat on the roof of the
car to continue to the second cession which has level
2-4 rapids and hydraulics. All together we have about
3 hours exciting raft before proceeding back to Chiang
Mai.
