ACCESSIBILITY 
By road 700 kms. from Bangkok, by rail 761 kms., by air (daily service from and to Bangkok
). Chaing Mai is a must for every visitor to Thailand. It is the major Northern city,
founded in 1296 and located in the highland on the North. Chaing Mai is full of many
attractions and has become know as" The land of beauty, hospitality and good
manners", " The land of graceful, attractive, mist-shrouded mountain scenery and
fertile valleys", " The land of religion with unique arts and handicrafts"

- Many lowland Thais regard Chiang Mai as a
national Shangri-la . Mountains surrounding Chiang Mai provide arresting scenic beauty and
host several once-itinerant hill tribes of Tiber-Burmese origin.

CLIMATE
Chiang Mai has three seasons as do most other provinces in Thailand. During Cool season :
average temperature 21° c and much cooler at night, so it's necessary to have sweaters
and jackets when you travel there.

TRANSPORTATION

the city; the fare is 5 Baht per person, but the driver usually stops here and there to
pick up additional passengers.

- A bit slow, of course, but perfect for
leisurely sightseeing and shopping, short trip 10 Baht.

- Several buses provide service along route
throughout the City, they stop at request and the fare is 5-10 baht.
